Hey there sports fans. Basketball is hardly getting a yawn this month as the NFL moves into the playoffs. Shaq is hurt, the Kings can't get it over .500 and there's hardly a game on my new NBA cable tier that I really want to watch.
Don't fret . There's still some hope for the running game following the creation of the NBA's new Development-League, a minor league of basketball where up-and-coming ballers bring their triple-A game to a new format, similar to the farming system used in baseball. You can check out the article I wrote about the league for one of my new freelance gigs, The Squeeze OC. Click here to read the piece.
Also make sure you check out the support article I wrote about the team's owner, and the superfly roster I made for the team's starters.
For those who bought Time Warner's digital sports tier, there are going to be about 60 games broadcast on NBA TV, as well as a new expansion team in Bakersfield. I've gone to a few games in Anaheim, home to the Clippers affiliate, and it's a rousing experience.
Heck, I might even have to switch over if my teams keep losing. Go Arsenal!
